We are eagerly preparing for the arrival of numerous family members this weekend to celebrate Caroline's 1st birthday. It's hard to believe her first year is already over--well, almost over--technically not until Friday! It has certainly flown by. Birthdays generally cause us to reflect on the person's life over the past year or years. As I reflect I feel we have been truly blessed by God to have such a wonderful daughter as Caroline. She puts a smile on our faces each and every day. She came along at just the right time in our lives--a time when we needed a shining star to brighten our days. We love you, Caroline. Happy birthday, and here's to many more birthdays to come!

Mom and Dad have taken in a student from Benedict College for the Christmas break. His name is Dickson, and he is from Kenya, Africa. He has only been in America since August. He and Caroline are buddies!
Dickson just loves Chris' truck, so I had to take his picture in it!
