Fort Construction Continues

Construction on the fort continues. Dad, Chris & Dickson traveled to Augusta on Saturday to salvage some slides from one of Dad's schools. Kim and Jason stopped by to help on their way home. Chris' family joined in on the fun of construction on Memorial day. The blue slide is up and ready for operation now!Caroline enjoyed swinging with her cousin, Michael, during construction.Caroline is ready for her first trip down the slide. Well, actually she tested out this slide in its original location in Augusta a few months ago, but it's the first time down in her own yard!

Chris had to make a trip down, too!

Fun Times with Friends

Here are some recent pics of Caroline playing with her friends. Caroline is playing the guitar for Lela, and Lela is dancing to the music. Lela is moving away to Texas this weekend. We sure are going to miss her and her sweet family!Caroline loves her new sand table!Silly girl!Watering Mommy's flowers!Lela was not too happy about the photo shoot!Caroline loves to feed Lela! And give her sweet kisses! We blew the baby pool up for Lela, but Caroline wanted to test it out first. Lela was taking a nap anyway!

We invited the twins, Ella Grace and Huiet Ann, to join us. They love the sand table, too! Ella Grace playing with Lela.

Sprinkler time was so much fun!
Ella Grace loved it! Ella Grace and Caroline are like two peas in a pod. They are always the first to want to try something. They loved the sprinkler and loved going down the new slide a million times!

Iris Festival

Yesterday, I took Mom and Caroline to Sumter, SC, which is about an hour and 20 minutes away from here. We went to the Iris Festival at Swan Lake. It's been close to 20 years since I have been to Swan Lake. It was certainly a treat to return to such a stunning site. It amazes me what a wonderful artist our Creator is when I see all the glorious flowers and creatures he has made for us! I can't wait to take Caroline back to the festival when she's older because they had a neat kid's area with all these free rides and inflatable slides.

Look at those beautiful swans!
