Ben & Sallie Come to Visit

Ben & Sallie, Chris' adopted grandparents from his days at Clemson, came for a visit last week. Here is Momma Sallie with Caroline & Cousin Michael.Caroline with Ben
Cousin Michael got a little cranky, so Caroline thought she'd help feed him a bottle.
She's such a good helper!!! Yesterday, I was feeding Baby Lela a bottle in Caroline's room and had forgotten to put on her bib. I asked Caroline if she could go in the den and look in Lela's bag, find her bib and bring it back to me. I had no intentions of her actually being able to do it, but sure enough she came back with the bib in hand!!!

The Great Outdoors

I thought it was time for another outdoor photo shoot with Caroline's best friend, Vedder. They have so much fun playing together!
I'm going to get you, Vedder!!!
Let me see if I can finish construction on my play fortress while Daddy is at work.
Mom, for real...quit taking my picture!

Caroline's new trick is to ride on Vedder's back. He's not too wild about it, but she loves it!
They also do a ton of wrestling!

Construction Zone

Construction has begun on the mighty play fortress, and Caroline is quite intrigued by all the sights and sounds. She loves saying, "bang, bang" while playing with the hammer. Granddougie, Papaw & Grammy came over to help out. Caroline is supervising the entire project.

She's asking Vedder for his two cents.

Here she is doing a little hands on intervention to save the project from failure.
Guys...you're supposed to do it like this, come on!!!

Ronald McDonald

Doesn't she look a bit like Ronald McDonald??? Caroline LOVES to eat pasta, so I thought I'd capture a few pics from dinner last night and eating leftovers at lunch today!
Food is always better when it comes off Mommy or Daddy's plate!

She obviously has something stuck between her teeth!
If you look closely you can see her molars! Poor thing...it looks so painful! It's even stuck all over her belly!!! Good thing it's bath night!

Fun Times with Grandparents

Caroline is fortunate enough to live close to all her grandparents, so she gets to spend lots of time with them. Earlier this week Grandma and I took her to Fun Zone where they have all these great giant inflatables where you can jump to your heart's content. I thought this would be right up Caroline's alley since she loves to bounce off the walls! Boy was I wrong...at least at first. This was her initial reaction to being placed in the giant inflatable jump house even with me right with her!She started to love it once she saw a few other kids there and we went down the giant slide together. Here we are playing in one of the inflatable basketball courts...sorry Grandma has never operated this camera before. :) Caroline loved the big firetruck in the toddler room!
We will definitely have to go back soon!
Zoo Trip
Last week while Papaw Mike was on vacation we took Caroline to the zoo.

This is Elizabeth who has grown up quite a bit since she was the flower girl in our wedding. Since she was off school that day she decided to join us. Caroline took right up with her!

Here Caroline and Papaw are watching the penguins swim all over the giant tank!

Caroline's Bag of Tricks

These are just a few of Caroline's many "tricks." She rarely will perform for the video camera, but here are a few things she has learned.

Caroline Goes to Work with Granddougie

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to get to spend the day with Granddougie. Caroline made her first trip to GA (Augusta)! She was very excited about getting to see where Granddougie works.

She was especially fascinated with all the blueprints!

Granddougie put her to work right away. She's a great Project Manager! She enjoyed getting to meet all the people at the school board building including the Superintendent of Schools.

Granddougie gave us a tour of his schools, and Caroline liked to test out the playground equipment for quality control! She was lucky enough to get a glimpse of Augusta National for the first time while traveling from school to school. It was a great day! We love spending time with Granddougie!
